Job summary

McKinstry in Seattle, WA is seeking a Service Coordinator to coordinate, communicate, and prioritize technician resources across all scheduled and reactive work within budget. This role ensures timely completion of requests, accurate tool and material readiness, and accurate status updates to clients.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of dispatch or scheduling experience with customers, strong Microsoft Office skills, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Manage and communicate work status, ensuring achievement of client commitments and work success for McKinstry.
  • Communicate with clients and represent McKinstry across all managed and dispatched work.
  • Manage budgets across Maintenance, Service, and Projects.

The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are adding a Service Coordinator to our growing service division in the NW. This role will manage the coordination, communication, and prioritization of technician resources across all scheduled and reactive work within budget. Additionally, some responsibilities you will have include:

  • Receiving client requests and managing client expectations and communication across maintenance and service calls.
  • Prioritizing and scheduling maintenance, service, and project work within given time periods.
  • Scheduling and managing a group of technicians across all work, including communication of work details, assurance of tools/material requirements, and project expectations.
  • Managing and communicating work status, assuring achievement of client commitment and work success for McKinstry.
  • Communicating with our clients and representing McKinstry across all work managed and dispatched.
  • Effectively managing jobs and budgets across all horizontal offerings: Maintenance, Service, and Projects.
  • Communicating closely with management regarding callbacks, technician problems, unsatisfied customers, etc.
  • Assuring the efficient and complete closeout of all work managed.
What You Need To Succeed At McKinstry
  • Previous experience in mechanical service industry is preferred.
  • Three (3) years of dispatch/scheduling experience working with customers required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
  • Knowledge of how to properly review proposals, bids, contracts and manpower reports preferred.

The pay range for this position is $24.36 - $39.28 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. This is a non‑exempt role and will be paid hourly. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
