Where Is The Work: This position is remote and will be performed in Fargo, ND.
What You Will Do:
- Start and commission new systems, diagnose and repair environmental-control systems, utilizing knowledge of electronics, DDC, airflow, refrigeration theory, and control/mechanical techniques in diverse commercial settings.
- Serve as the direct customer contact, servicing products and equipment on projects, ensuring customer satisfaction by diagnosing and repairing systems at customer locations.
- Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand requirements, forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work.
- Stay current on Trane products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of DDC systems.
- Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of assets.
- Maintain flexibility to work overtime, including occasional overnight stays.
What You Will Bring:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; 3-5 years of HVAC/Controls experience; technical training preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and handheld devices.
- Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months, with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Experience with DDC controls systems preferred; EPA certification is a plus.
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 40 lbs., climbing ladders, and working in variable environments.
Additional Requirements and Environmental Exposure:
- Ability to operate a vehicle safely, wear safety gear, and perform physical tasks.
- Ability to access rooftops and confined spaces, and work in various weather conditions.
