Job summary

Smart & Final in Los Angeles is hiring a Service Clerk to support customers, manage carts, and assist with loading purchases at 4550 Pico Blvd. The role reports to store leadership and involves routine price checks and maintaining cleanliness throughout the day.

Ideal candidates read and write English, interact well with the public, and can lift items of varying weights as part of daily duties. This is a full-time on-site position with growth opportunities within the Smart & Final team.

Qualifications

• Read and write English, interact with public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labeling, pricing codes, shelf tags, memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Explain information in one-on-one or small group settings to customers and coworkers.
• Apply common sense to follow detailed but simple instructions.
• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently 45 pounds, occasionally 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain carts in the store and in the parking area.
• Assist customers with loading merchandise and with vehicles.
• Check shelf prices for accuracy at check stands.
• Return mispriced or unshelved items to proper shelves.
• Keep store entrance and restrooms clean and stocked.
• Support store maintenance and cleanliness throughout the day.
