Job summary

Smart & Final in La Habra, CA is seeking a Service Clerk for Store 422. You will assist customers, check prices, stock shelves, and help with cart maintenance and loading purchases into customers’ vehicles.

The role requires excellent customer service, basic PC skills, and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds. Starting rate is $16.90 per hour, with opportunities to grow in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Read and write English. Interact with customers and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product pricing codes, shelf tags.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Ability present information clearly to customers and staff.
• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Collect and organize shopping carts in the store and from the parking lot.
• Assist customers with loading merchandise into carts and into their vehicles.
• Check retail prices on shelves for price accuracy.
• Return misplaced items to proper shelves; tidy aisles and restrooms as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness at store entrance and throughout the store.
