Join our Store Operations Team as a Service Clerk!

The Opportunity

The Service Clerk is the key to our success!

Stores rely on the Service Clerk to provide excellent customer service, keep shelves stocked with fresh food, and create a great shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Organize shopping carts inside the store and retrieve carts from parking lot and surrounding areas.
• Assist customers with loading merchandise into carts and help load their vehicles.
• Check retail prices on shelves for check stand personnel.
• Return merchandise from check stand (“go backs”) to proper shelves and face merchandise as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness at the store entrance and throughout the store, including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and restroom restocking.

Restrictions: Service Clerks may NOT perform the following duties:

• Receiving functions such as processing orders, DEX/NEX, DSD, or operating power equipment (unless certified and of age 18+).
• Running a department or stocking shelves (except for merchandise from check stands).
• Pulling down merchandise unless assisting a customer when shelves are empty.
• Working on a night crew, except for cleanup duties.

Qualifications:

• Ability to read and write English, interact with the public and co-workers.
• Understand instructions, labels, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence and present information effectively.
• Apply common sense to follow detailed instructions.
• Lift/move up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 45 pounds frequently, and up to 60 pounds occasionally.

Preferred Extras:

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate.
