Join our Store Operations Team as a Service Clerk!

The Opportunity

The Service Clerk is the key to our success!

Stores rely on the Service Clerk to provide excellent customer service, maintain shelves with fresh food, and create a great shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Collect and organize shopping carts inside the store and retrieve carts from the parking lot and surrounding areas.
• Assist customers with loading merchandise into carts and help load their vehicles.
• Check retail prices on shelves for check stand personnel.
• Return merchandise from check stands to proper shelves and ensure aisles are tidy and merchandise is faced correctly.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store entrance and inside areas, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.

Restrictions: Service Clerks may NOT perform the following duties:

• Receiving functions such as processing deliveries or operating DEX/NEX systems.
• Operate power equipment (unless certified and of appropriate age).
• Stock shelves or pull merchandise from shelves (except for customer assistance or go-backs).
• Work on a night crew (except for cleanup duties).

Qualifications:

• Ability to read and write English, interact professionally with customers and co-workers.
• Understand and follow simple instructions, read product labels, pricing, and memos.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly, 45 pounds frequently, and 60 pounds occasionally.

Preferred Extras:

• Basic PC/Outlook skills
• Retail Management Certificate
