Calendar / Docket Clerk (Downtown Los Angeles) 100% IN OFFICE - no remote

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Calendar / Docket Clerk. This role involves reviewing and managing court filings and incoming mail, as well as calculating and calendaring legal deadlines. A commitment to accuracy and focus under pressure are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track, calculate, and calendar critical deadlines, including hearings, depositions, expert disclosures, and discovery cutoffs, in compliance with court rules and firm procedures.
  • Communicate calendar events clearly and promptly to attorneys, paralegals, and legal secretaries.
  • Maintain meticulous records and logs of all activities.
  • Ensure all deadlines are tracked and met.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in calendaring or docketing, preferably in civil defense litigation.
  • Strong understanding of court rules and calendaring tools (e.g., LawToolBox, Compulaw, CARET Legal).
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong accountability and time management skills.

Pay: $24-$30 per hour.
