The Opportunity

The Service Clerk is the key to our success!

Stores rely on the Service Clerk to provide excellent customer service, maintain fresh food displays, and create a great shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

1. Organize shopping carts inside the store and retrieve carts from parking lots.
2. Assist customers with loading merchandise into carts and help load their vehicles.
3. Check retail prices on shelves for check stand personnel.
4. Return merchandise from check stands to proper shelves and face merchandise on aisles.
5. Maintain cleanliness at store entrance, including sweeping, trash removal, and cleaning doors.
6. Keep the store clean throughout the day, including sweeping, mopping, and restroom restocking.

Restrictions

Service Clerks may NOT perform receiving functions, operate power equipment (unless certified), run departments, stock shelves (except for go backs), or work on night crews (except for cleanup).

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write English, interact with the public and co-workers.
• Understand simple instructions, product labels, and pricing.
• Write simple correspondence and present information effectively.
• Apply common sense to follow detailed instructions.
• Lift up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 45 pounds frequently, and up to 60 pounds occasionally.

Preferred Skills

• Basic PC and Outlook skills
• Retail Management Certificate
