Join our Store Operations Team as a Service Clerk!

Store Location

The Opportunity

The Service Clerk is key to our success!

Stores rely on the Service Clerk to provide excellent customer service, maintain shelves with fresh food, and create a great shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Organize shopping carts inside the store and retrieve them from the parking lot and surrounding areas.
• Assist customers with loading merchandise into carts and help load their vehicles.
• Check retail prices on shelves for check stand personnel.
• Return merchandise from check stand (“go backs”) to proper shelves and face merchandise as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness at the store entrance: sweep, pick up trash, mop outside walkways, and clean entrance/exit doors daily.
• Keep the store clean throughout the day: sweep, mop, clean, and restock restrooms as needed.

Restrictions: Service Clerks may NOT perform the following duties:

• Receiving functions, including receiving orders, DEX/NEX, DSD functions, operating power equipment (may be certified if 18+), running a department, stocking shelves (except for “go backs”), pulling merchandise, or working on a night crew (except for cleanup).

What You'll Bring

• Ability to read and write English, interact with the public and co-workers.
• Ability to understand instructions, labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Effective communication skills for one-on-one and small group interactions.
• Apply common sense to follow detailed instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly, 45 pounds frequently, and 60 pounds occasionally.

Extra Plus if You Have...

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate.
