FLSmidth is seeking a strategic and hands-on Service Center Manager to lead two of our U.S.-based facilities: Winfield, West Virginia and Reno, Nevada. This role will play a critical part in our transformation efforts—shifting Winfield from a manufacturing-dominated operation to a service-focused facility, while also establishing and growing operations at our newly acquired Reno location. This is a high-impact leadership role managing a business unit with projected revenue of over $50M.
• Lead operational transformation in Winfield from manufacturing to a customer- and service-oriented facility.
• Manage and develop further service center capabilities to match service business requirements and local market demand
• Manage and develop local repair portfolio to ensure highly profitable business, FLS core and third party business
• Capacity planning and steering for all service centers
• Oversee day-to-day operations and strategic development of the Reno facility.
• Own P&L, customer engagement and sales strategy in both locations.
• Collaborate closely with operations, engineering, and sales teams, especially in North America.
• Identify opportunities to localize services and reduce transportation costs by optimizing facility use.
• Ensure alignment with broader FLSmidth service strategy and financial goals.
• Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and local facility leaders.
• 10+ years of experience managing service centers or manufacturing facilities in industrial, mining, or related sectors.
• Proven success leading operational change and business growth initiatives.
• Strong understanding of customer service operations and sales enablement.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly between Winfield, WV and Reno, NV.
• Familiarity with operations like centrifuge and screen manufacturing, and HPGR service is a plus.
• Experience with facilities contributing to $50M+ in business volume is preferred.
