Job summary

Sapp Bros., Inc. is seeking a Service Advisor for the 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM shift in Omaha, NE. This rotating schedule includes every other weekend and is focused on delivering 5-star customer service in a fast-paced diesel maintenance shop.

You’ll greet customers, write service tickets, manage the service process from start to finish, and support inventory, fleet accounts, and over-the-counter sales while upholding safety and professionalism.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
1 year of experience in a service advisor or service writer role preferred.
Typing speed and accuracy with computer applications.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service and greet customers.
Oversee the service process from start to finish.
Ensure safety with lock-out/tag-out procedures.
Assign work orders to technicians and monitor completion.
Handle incoming calls professionally and efficiently.
Complete work orders and assist with inventory management.
Support over-the-counter sales and fleet accounts.
Perform daily cleaning and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
Follow safety procedures including lock-out/tag compliance.

What You’ll Do:

As a Service Advisor, you'll build strong customer relationships and ensure customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service. You'll oversee the service process from start to finish, ensuring customer expectations are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service, building lasting relationships.
Manage the service process, from initial contact to completion.
Ensure vehicles undergo lock-out/tag-out procedures for safety.
Assign work orders to skilled technicians and monitor job completion.
Handle incoming calls professionally and efficiently.
Complete work orders and assist with inventory management.
Support over-the-counter sales and assist with fleet accounts.
Perform daily cleaning duties and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
Follow all safety procedures, including lock-out/tag compliance.

Requirements

Ideal Candidates Have:

High school diploma , GED, or equivalent (preferred).
At least 1 year of previous experience in a service advisor or service writer role (preferred).

Ability to perform basic math and use an adding machine.
