Job summary

Acadiana Ford Inc. is seeking a full-time Service Cashier to join our dealership team. You will process payments for service work, handle paperwork, and assist with loaner vehicles, ensuring a smooth, positive customer experience.

Experience at a dealership is preferred. This role supports the Service Department and requires strong cash handling, communication, and multitasking in a busy environment. Evening and Saturday availability may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Outgoing, positive personality with a professional appearance.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a dynamic, customer-facing environment.
• Cash handling experience and familiarity with 10-key a plus.
• Prior cashier or customer service experience preferred (automotive experience a bonus).
• Ability to work evenings and Saturdays as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Previous dealership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process customer payments for service and parts invoices (cash, check, and credit).
• Balance cash drawer and reconcile daily transactions.
• Assist customers with service-related paperwork, including loaner vehicle agreements.
• Provide friendly, professional cashier desk support.
• Answer service and payment-related questions or direct customers to staff.
• Perform light administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and data entry.
• Maintain a clean, organized cashier/work area.
• Collaborate with Service and Parts teams to support daily operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
