Job summary

First Merchants is seeking a Teller in Sellersburg, Indiana to provide friendly, accurate customer service, process transactions, and promote bank products to build loyalty.

You will balance cash, handle daily transactions, and support branch operations while following security and privacy policies. A high school diploma and at least 3 months of sales or cash handling experience are preferred. Teamwork, reliability, and a customer-first mindset are essential.

• 3 months of sales, cash handling, or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer requests for banking transactions.
• Answer customer inquiries and problems with solutions that meet the customer’s current needs.
• Balance cash, daily transactions, vault and ATM.
• Understand and ensure compliance, regulations and reporting.
• Follow information security policy and verification procedures to protect customer privacy.
• Assist with opening and/or closing banking center.
• Sell bank products, make customer referrals and other activities to support the goals.
• Know about all bank products.
• Participate in daily/weekly meetings and coaching sessions.
