Job summary

First Merchants Corporation is seeking a customer-focused team member to support our Merrillville banking center. You will respond to customer requests for transactions, balance cash, and contribute to a high performing sales environment by promoting bank products and referrals.

You should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least three months of sales or cash handling experience. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within a values-driven team.

• At least 3 months of sales, cash handling, or related experience.
• Ability to balance cash, daily transactions, vault and ATM operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by responding to customer requests for banking transactions.
• Contribute to overall banking center operation by balancing cash, daily transactions, vault and ATM and ensuring compliance.
• Actively participate in a high performing sales environment with bank product referrals and customer education.

• Selling bank products, making customer referrals and other activities to support the goals.
• Knowing about all bank products.
• Participating in daily/weekly meetings and coaching sessions.
