Job summary

Culligan Water of Bloomington is seeking a dependable Service & Installation Technician to join our growing team. You will install, service, maintain, and repair residential water treatment equipment, including water softeners, filtration systems, and RO units, while educating customers and documenting work.

Ideal candidates have strong mechanical aptitude, good problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Experience in plumbing, equipment installation, maintenance, or related trades is preferred but not required.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Professional, customer-focused attitude and strong communication.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Install, service, maintain, and repair residential water treatment equipment, including water softeners, filtration systems, and reverse osmosis systems.

• Diagnose equipment issues and determine appropriate solutions.

• Perform scheduled maintenance, upgrades, and equipment replacements.

• Educate customers on their equipment, answer questions, and recommend solutions when appropriate.

• Complete service records and customer documentation accurately using company technology.

• Maintain an organized service vehicle and properly care for tools and equipment.

• Work closely with dispatch, sales, and other technicians to deliver a positive customer experience.

• Follow company procedures and established safety standards.

What We're Looking For

• Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.

• Experience with plumbing, equipment installation, maintenance, repair, HVAC, or a related trade is preferred but not required.

• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused attitude.

• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and follow through on assigned work.

• Comfort using a tablet or mobile device to document service calls.

• Valid driver's license.

• High school diploma or GED.

Water treatment experience is a plus, but not required. We're willing to train the right person who brings a strong work ethic, mechanical ability, and a desire to grow.
