Nikon Metrology is seeking a driven Service/Applications Engineer to provide expert support for Laser Radar Systems, including lab and field service, installation, and repair. This role also supports contract service opportunities by assessing customer requirements, programming parts, and conducting inspections. The ideal candidate will lead customer programming development, implementation, and training.

LOCATION:

This role involves 60-70% travel and requires proximity to the Brighton, Michigan office for onsite needs.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Electrical and mechanical Laser Radar service and preventative maintenance at factory or in the field at customer sites.
• Perform new system installations including calibration.
• Perform Laser Radar field upgrades.
• Detailed and timely completion of weekly paperwork including time sheets, service reports, expense reports, calibration reports.

ANCILLARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform on-site customer maintenance training and support.
• Pre-Sales Hardware/software demonstrations and support
• Act as point of contact for dealer support and training
• Trade show support; set up/ tear down equipment.
• All other duties, as needed or required.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to travel up to 60-70% domestic and international
• Ability to adapt to customer location
• Able to lift 50lbs
