McGrath Hyundai in Hiawatha, IA is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join our growing service team. In this role you’ll connect customers with our service technicians, manage repair orders, and help customers decide on maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• Previous Automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, or dealership service experience preferred.
• Customer-facing sales, customer service, or automotive industry experience will also be considered.
• Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to confidently explain automotive repairs, maintenance recommendations, and service estimates.
• Comfortable presenting recommended services and working toward department sales and performance goals.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to complete a pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in the service lane, listen to their concerns, and provide a professional, welcoming experience
• Create and manage accurate repair orders, documenting customer concerns, vehicle information, and requested services
• Communicate with technicians to review inspection findings, diagnostic results, and recommended repairs
• Explain repair recommendations, maintenance needs, and service estimates clearly to customers
• Present and sell recommended maintenance and repair services while building customer trust
• Keep customers informed throughout the service process, including repair progress, estimated completion times, and any changes
• Coordinate with technicians, parts personnel, and service management to support efficient workflow and timely vehicle delivery
• Build long-term customer relationships through consistent communication, follow-up, and exceptional service

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, rotating Saturdays
