Morrie's West Salem Chevrolet in West Salem, WI is seeking a Service Advisor to greet customers, gather vehicle information, and coordinate repairs. You will explain estimates, timelines, and maintenance recommendations while ensuring a high level of customer service.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with CDK experience preferred. Full-time on-site position with comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Problem solving and analytical thinking to diagnose issues and propose solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication to explain repairs and recommendations to customers.
• Professional presentation and courteous customer interaction in a fast-paced service environment.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple repair orders and timescales.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, listen to the description of the problem, obtain customer and vehicle information
• Inspect all vehicles for bodywork, notify the customer if work is needed
• Secure agreement from customers before repairs; cover cost estimate; and approximate time when vehicle's work will be completed
• Advise customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacture's specifications, using maintenance menus
• Handle minor customer complaints and misunderstandings
• Follow up progress of each repair order during the day, contact customers by telephone regarding changes in the estimate or time promised
• Handle telephone inquiries and return phone messages promptly
• Deliver vehicles to customers and answer any questions, review work performed and explain charges and coverage
• Refer leads and prospects for vehicle sales to the new and pre-owned sales departments
• Assist the service manager as necessary
• Follow company safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt, dust and harsh chemicals
