Responsibilities

• Greet customers about service needs and prepare repair orders.
• Advise customers on routine maintenance and needed repairs.
• Identify mechanical problems through questioning, inspection, or road test.
• Prepare labor and parts cost estimates and obtain customer authorization.
• Explain repair work and costs to customers and obtain signatures.
• Coordinate with dispatchers to confirm promised times and status.
• Maintain accurate repair orders and service history references.
• Keep work area, forms, catalogs, and pricing guides up to date.
