Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in wealth management.
  • Experience supporting Financial Advisors and wealth management clients preferred.
  • CFP designation, CFP coursework, or plan to earn CFP.
  • Strong relationship-building and client communication skills.
  • Ability to participate confidently in client meetings.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Owns follow-through for client requests and follow-ups.
  • Collaborates well with Advisors and internal teams.
  • Experience with CRM systems and financial services technology preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proactive, collaborative, service-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for ongoing client service needs, questions, and communication.
  • Develop strong, trusted relationships with clients and provide a highly responsive and personalized experience.
  • Respond to client inquiries and proactively communicate regarding outstanding needs, follow-up items, and next steps.
  • Coordinate service needs and follow-up items with Advisors and operations teams.
  • Maintain accurate meeting notes, activities, and client information in the CRM.
  • Attend client meetings as a second chair alongside the Advisor and take detailed notes.
  • Prepare for client meetings using established processes and checklists.
  • Coordinate post-meeting follow-up and ensure action items are completed.
  • Support pipeline reviews and update next steps in the CRM.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen workflows and improve the client experience.

LOCATION: Eagan, MN | In Office Monday–Thursday, Remote Friday

COMPENSATION: Competitive salary based on experience

Overview:

Our client is a successful, relationship-focused wealth management firm managing $1B in assets seeking a Service Advisor (Relationship Manager) to help deliver an exceptional client experience and provide comprehensive relationship support to the firm's Advisors.

This individual will serve as an important connection between clients, Advisors, and the firm's operations team, helping ensure client needs are addressed, follow-up is completed, and opportunities continue moving forward. The Service Advisor will develop meaningful relationships with clients, participate in client meetings, coordinate service needs, and take ownership of the communication and follow-through surrounding each relationship.

The ideal candidate is highly responsive, relationship-oriented, organized, and proactive. They enjoy working directly with clients while also managing the details behind the scenes that allow Advisors to focus on providing advice and strengthening client relationships. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the relationship side of wealth management and wants to play an important role in strengthening client loyalty while helping Advisors serve their clients at a high level.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for ongoing client service needs, questions, and communication
  • Develop strong, trusted relationships with clients and provide a highly responsive and personalized experience
  • Respond to client inquiries and proactively communicate regarding outstanding needs, follow-up items, and next steps
  • Understand individual client relationships, priorities, and service needs
  • Recognize important client milestones and coordinate appropriate relationship touchpoints and gifting
  • Help ensure every interaction reflects the firm's commitment to exceptional client service
  • Serve as a "second chair" alongside the Advisor during client meetings
  • Participate in meetings, take detailed notes, and address appropriate client service questions
  • Prepare for client meetings using established processes and checklists
  • Coordinate post-meeting follow-up and ensure action items are assigned and completed
  • Maintain accurate meeting notes, activities, and client information within the CRM
  • Help ensure Advisors are prepared for upcoming client conversations and aware of outstanding items

Client Service & Business Coordination:

  • Serve as the liaison between Advisors and the firm's operations, investment, and insurance teams
  • Coordinate client requests and assign follow-up work to the appropriate team member
  • Maintain ownership and visibility of outstanding tasks to ensure requests are completed
  • Submit new investment and insurance opportunities to the appropriate internal team once business moves forward
  • Follow established processes to ensure client business is handled consistently and efficiently
  • Proactively identify missing information or Advisor action needed to keep business moving forward

Pipeline & Workflow Management:

  • Participate in regular pipeline review meetings with Advisors
  • Maintain accurate and current opportunity information and next steps
  • Ensure opportunities are updated consistently and communicate outstanding Advisor responsibilities
  • Utilize before- and after-meeting workflows to create consistency and ensure important details are not missed
  • Track client and business follow-up through completion
  • Help identify opportunities to strengthen workflows and improve the overall client experience

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in wealth management
  • Experience supporting Financial Advisors and wealth management clients strongly preferred
  • Holds CFP designation, has completed CFP coursework or has desire to earn CFP designation
  • Strong relationship-building and client communication skills
  • Ability to participate confidently and professionally in client meetings
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for ensuring client requests and follow-up items are completed
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with Advisors and internal teams
  • Experience with CRM systems and financial services technology preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, collaborative, and service-oriented approach
