Quality Equipment in Carthage, NC is seeking a Service Advisor to join our John Deere dealership. You will field customer inquiries, open and track service orders, and coordinate parts and warranty submissions.

In this busy role you’ll assist technicians, process payments, and help load/unload equipment. A basic knowledge of office procedures and accounting is helpful, with opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of accounting practices.
• Ability to use standard desktop apps (Microsoft Office, internet).
• General understanding of mechanical/technical terms.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate forklift.
• Self-starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Agricultural background preferred.
• Knowledge of local sale/resale values of machinery.

Responsibilities

• Field internal and external customer inquiries for the Service Department.
• Open work orders and maintain control until they are closed and invoiced.
• Update customer profiles with equipment hours and other information from the customer work orders.
• Maintain service accessories and supplies and prepares replacement orders when necessary.
• Prepare warranty and/or product improvement submissions.
• Assist customers with mower or equipment loading/unloading when necessary.
• Close and process RO’s for payment when needed.
• Assist technicians and provides part service including parts lookup and processing MD orders.
• Assist on the parts counter when necessary.
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks and staging equipment for service.
• Act as an ambassador for the dealership and protect the positive dealership image.
