Job summary

Murgado Ford of Chicago is seeking a customer-focused Service Advisor to serve as the main contact for customers during vehicle maintenance and repair, ensuring a smooth, transparent service experience from drop-off to delivery.

You will greet customers, document issues, create repair orders, communicate estimates, coordinate with technicians, and help drive additional services while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Previous Service Advisor experience or a similar customer-facing automotive role preferred.
• Strong understanding of automotive repair and maintenance services.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical information clearly.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Ability to multitask and stay professional in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and provide a welcoming, professional service experience.
• Listen to customer concerns, document vehicle issues, and create repair orders.
• Communicate recommended maintenance and repair needs clearly to customers.
• Provide estimates, explain costs, and keep customers updated on repair status.
• Coordinate with technicians to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.
• Recommend additional services based on vehicle inspection findings.
• Resolve customer questions or concerns with professionalism and urgency.
• Maintain accurate customer, vehicle, warranty, and repair documentation.
