Job summary

Rt 9 Nissan of Westborough is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join our busy service department in Westborough, MA. You will be the primary contact for customers, translate vehicle needs into service orders, and coordinate repairs with technicians.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in an automotive advisory role, excellent customer service, strong communication, and a professional appearance. We offer competitive pay with potential commission and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of automotive Service Advisor/Service Writer experience required.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Effective time management and multitasking abilities.
• Experience with Reynolds and Reynolds preferred.
• Nissan dealership experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• A professional appearance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally while gathering accurate vehicle and customer information.
• Schedule service appointments and prepare for customer arrivals whenever possible.
• Listen to customer concerns, document vehicle issues accurately, and communicate effectively with technicians.
• Review vehicle service history and recommend maintenance and repairs based on manufacturer specifications and inspection findings.
• Prepare accurate written estimates for parts, labor, and recommended services.
• Explain recommended repairs, maintenance needs, pricing, and timelines clearly to customers.
• Obtain customer approvals before performing additional work.
• Monitor repair progress and keep customers informed of updates, changes, and completion times.
• Review repair orders for accuracy and ensure all work and authorizations are properly documented.
• Explain completed repairs and charges, process payments, and close repair orders.
• Handle phone calls, emails, appointment requests, and customer inquiries professionally.
• Help maintain high customer satisfaction and quality standards while minimizing repeat repairs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
