Job summary

Reddick Brown Ford in Morrison, TN is seeking a professional, customer-focused Service Advisor to join our service department. If you’re organized, communicate well, and take pride in taking care of people, we want to talk to you.

You will greet customers, collect vehicle data, build estimates with technicians, keep customers updated by phone, text and email, and explain completed work and charges. A strong work ethic, 1 year in a service role, and the ability to manage time in a fast-paced shop

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and collect customer and vehicle information.
• Clearly report vehicle symptoms as described by the customer.
• Determine and recommend maintenance based on age, mileage, and history.
• Work closely with technicians to diagnose concerns, build estimates, and get approvals.
• Keep customers updated throughout the day by phone, text, and email.
• Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of labor and parts.
• Establish follow-up times and monitor progress of each vehicle.
• Verify final invoice reconciles with work performed on the repair order.
• Explain all completed work and charges to customers.
• Handle warranty and recall work according to Ford guidelines.

Service Advisor Responsibilities:

• Greet customers promptly
• Obtain customer and vehicle information
• Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer
• Determine and recommend maintenance base on age, mileage and history of vehicle
• Work closely with technicians to diagnose concerns, build estimates, and get approvals
• Keep customers updated throughout the day by phone, text, and email
• Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts
• Establish follow up time
• Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update customers frequently
• Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order
• Explain all completed work and charges to customers
• Handle warranty and recall work according to Ford guidelines

Service Advisor Requirements:

• Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus
• Ability to stay self motivated
• Excellent time management skills

• Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction
• Past experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager or service consultant

• Minimum of 1 year in service department
