Responsibilities

• Schedules service appointments and collects customer data.
• Writes up vehicle problems clearly on repair orders.
• Advises customers on car care per manufacturer specs.
• References service history to inform repairs.
• Inspects vehicles and identifies additional needed service.
• Provides a complete written cost estimate for labor and parts.
• Monitors repair progress and communicates changes to customers.
• Explains costs and timelines, obtaining authorization for extra work.

Responsibilities:

• Schedules service appointments and obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival
• Writes up customer’s vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair orders
• Advises customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications
• Refers to service history
• inspects vehicle
• and recommends additional needed service
• Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts
• Checks on progress of repair throughout the day and contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time
• Explains cost and time requirements in detail and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed
