Young Automotive Group seeks a Service Advisor / Service Writer at our Morgan, Utah Ford location. You will bridge customers and service technicians, explain repairs, and ensure accurate estimates and timely updates.

Qualifications

• Two years related experience and/or training required.
• History of solid and successful employment with good references.
• Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
• Prior sales experience helpful.
• Clean driving record.
• Able to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Schedules service appointments and collects customer and vehicle data prior to arrival.
• Writes up customers' vehicle problems clearly on repair orders.
• Advises customers on care and maintenance per manufacturers’ specs.
• References service history and inspects vehicle.
• Recommends additional needed service.
• Provides accurate written cost estimates for labor and parts.
• Monitors repair progress and communicates changes in estimate or timing.
• Explains costs and time requirements and obtains authorization for extra work.
• Keeps service forms, menus, and pricing guides up-to-date.
• Explains completed work and charges to customers.
• Implements quality control to prevent comebacks.
• Handles inquiries about appointments and work-in-process.

Responsibilities:

• Schedules service appointments and obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival
• Writes up customer’s vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair orders
• Advises customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications
• Refers to service history

• Checks on progress of repair throughout the day and contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time
• Explains cost and time requirements in detail and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed
• Keeps service department forms - menus and pricing guides up-to-date
• Explains completed work and all charges to customers
• Implements a quality control process to eliminate comebacks
• Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process
