Job summary

JX Enterprises in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking a Service Advisor to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced shop environment. You will schedule repairs, communicate with customers and insurers, and manage invoices with accuracy.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in automotive/heavy-duty settings, solid Windows skills, and a customer‑focused mindset. Shift is Tue–Fri 10:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. and Sat 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of related automotive repair facility or heavy-duty truck experience preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills in Windows; demonstrated skills in computer-generated business systems.
• Valid driver's license; CDL required or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Process shop repair orders by scheduling and assigning work.
• Document and diagnose repairs with photographs.
• Communicate with customers and insurers to obtain authorization.

The Opportunity (Job Purpose):

Shift: Tuesday-Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

What You'll Do Day-to-Day (Essential Duties & Responsibilities):

• Process all shop repair orders by scheduling & assigning work to shop Associates.


• Document and diagnose necessary repairs by taking photographs.


• Work closely with communication with customers and insurance companies to obtain necessary authorization and documentation relating to repair work.


• Monitor job schedules to ensure timeliness of repairs and job pricing.


• Complete invoicing and collecting procedures in a timely manner.


• Collaborate closely with team members and leadership to continuously cultivate positive experiences for our customers.


• Perform other dynamic duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business

What We're Looking For (Qualifications & Skills):

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Three (3) years of related automotive repair facility or heavy-duty truck experience preferred.


• Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Windows. Must possess demonstrated skills in computer-generated business systems.


• Valid driver's license required; CDL required, or ability to obtain.


• Priority setting skills
