Job summary

Eide Automotive Group in Bismarck, ND seeks a Service Advisor to greet customers, capture vehicle information, and schedule appointments. You will assess symptoms, propose maintenance based on vehicle history, and prepare detailed cost estimates for labour and parts.

You will monitor vehicle progress, update customers, and ensure invoices match work performed. A customer-focused, energetic team player with solid computer skills will thrive here.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and obtain vehicle information.
• Clearly report vehicle symptoms as described by the customer.
• Determine and recommend maintenance based on age, mileage and history.
• Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of labour and parts.
• Establish follow-up time with customers and schedule next steps.
• Monitor progress of each vehicle and update customers regularly.
• Verify that final invoices reconcile with the repair order and explain charges.

The responsibilities of a Service Advisor include greeting customers, listening to their needs, and scheduling appointments as needed. They may also set up loaner cars and verify insurance before maintenance is scheduled.

Service Advisor Responsibilities:

• Greet customers promptly
• Obtain customer and vehicle information
• Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer
• Determine and recommend maintenance base on age, mileage and history of vehicle
• Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labour and parts
• Establish follow up time
• Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update customers frequently
• Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order
• Explain all completed work and charges to customers
