Job summary

Twin City Dealerships is seeking a Service Advisor to greet customers, gather information, and schedule appointments. You will assess vehicle needs, prepare labor and parts estimates, and communicate clearly with customers about service work and invoices.

The role emphasizes accurate reporting, timely updates, and a customer-focused approach in a fast-paced dealership environment. If you have dealership experience and strong communication skills, this is a great fit.

Qualifications

• Experience in a dealership service department preferred.
• Ability to identify problems quickly and accurately.
• Proven track record of delivering high customer satisfaction.
• Willingness to learn and use dealership software and procedures.
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Service Advisor

The responsibilities of a Service Advisor include greeting customers, listening to their needs, and scheduling appointments as needed. They may also set up loaner cars and verify insurance before maintenance is scheduled.

Service Advisor Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly
• Obtain customer and vehicle information
• Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer
• Determine and recommend maintenance base on age, mileage and history of vehicle
• Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts
• Establish follow up time
• Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update customers frequently
• Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order
• Explain all completed work and charges to customers

Service Advisor Requirements

• Previous experience at a dealership is a plus
• Ability to identify the problem quickly
• Knowledge of automobiles
• Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction
• Past experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager or service consultant
• Very energetic personality
• A desire for a long-term career with a growing organization
• Personal and professional integrity
• Computer skills and willingness to learn new programs
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
• Minimum of 1 year in service department
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• High school diploma or equivalent
