Wigle Whiskey & Threadbare Cider is seeking an upbeat, self-motivated wait staff member for our Pittsburgh venue located at Wigle Smallman St, Pittsburgh, PA 15222. The role requires attentiveness to detail, teamwork, and a passion for hospitality.

The ideal candidate is positive, can handle busy service periods, and is eager to join a celebrated spirits and cider team. RAMP certification is required on day one, with ServSafe certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they are seated and ensure table is clean and ready.
• Distribute menus and present daily specials.
• Answer questions about menu and products.
• Take orders and input into POS system.
• Return food and items as requested by customers.
• Ensure food is prepared correctly and to satisfaction.
• Clear tables and collect plates after meals.
• Prepare checks and process payments.
• Assist with other restaurant tasks as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Greet customers as they are seated at the table; ensure the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided


• Distributes menus and presents the daily specials


• Answer questions regarding the menu and our products


• Take food and beverage orders and input into POS system


• Returns food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to customers


• Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to customers' satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to the kitchen


• Collects plates and clears the table as customers finish their meals


• Prepares customers' checks and collects payments


• Assists with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments


• Performs other related duties as assigned

QualificationsQualifications

• RAMP certification is required on the first day of employment


• Previous food and beverage experience (preferred)


• ServSafe certification is a plus


• Must possess strong customer service skills
