Job summary

Cedarbrook Senior Living in Michigan is seeking a weekend server to deliver friendly dining service to residents, ensure accurate orders, and promptly address questions. The role emphasizes customer care and teamwork in a residents-first community.

You will maintain menu knowledge, assist with special requests, and adhere to safety and sanitation standards while wearing a neat uniform and name tag. Weekend availability is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and deliver accurate orders to and from residents and supervisors.
• Maintain knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and food preparation.
• Handle special requests and menu related questions with accuracy and promptness.
• Expedite, carry, and deliver multiple plates of food efficiently and accurately based on the server training guidelines.
• Ensure all health, food, and safety codes and regulations are followed at all times.
• Wear a neat, clean uniform with name tag and safety shoes.
• Attend service lineups and in-service meetings.
• Perform opening and closing duties for the scheduled shift or extra assignments.
• Pre-bussing/bussing of tables timely and consistently.
• Respond to tasks assigned by supervisors.
• Assist in onsite operations as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and deliver accurate orders to and from residents and supervisors.
• Accountable for the knowledge and confidence of the menu, daily specials, and food preparation.
• Ability to handle special requests and menu related questions with accuracy and promptness.
• Expedite, carry, and deliver multiple plates of food efficiently and accurately based on the server training guidelines.
• Ensure all necessary health, food, and safety codes and regulations are performed at all times.
• Knowledge of all menu items, specifications of ingredients, portions, and procedures.
• Wears a neat, clean, pressed uniform with name tag and safety shoes.
• Attends service lineups and department in-service meetings.
• Execute all necessary opening and closing duties pertinent to scheduled shift or extra assignment.
• Perform pre-bussing/bussing of tables timely and consistently.
• Responds to tasks assigned by each of the supervisors.
• Assists in various projects that pertain to onsite operations from time to time.
• Holds themselves and others accountable for the job or task assigned.
• Provides and promotes a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Must be able to work in a team environment and take direction.
• Attends on going education and training as set by management team
• Performs additional responsibilities as requested by management team.

Education/Experience:

• Working knowledge of the industry.
