Job summary

The Inn at University Village is seeking a personable server to join our Culinary Department on a part-time basis in Vancouver, WA. Earn between 17.13 and 18.50 per hour, with multiple shifts from 4PM to 7:30PM on weekdays and on weekends.

• Maintain professional grooming and clean uniform at all times.
• Assist with special events and other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

You enjoy providing outstanding customer service to residents. This role provides meal service and assists with other front-of-house tasks in the community.

What you'll do:

• Prepare dining room tables and ensure dining room cleanliness
• Protect establishments and residents by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
• Greet residents and families
• Assist residents select food and beverages by presenting menu, making suggestions and explaining chefs’ daily specials
• Interact with residents in a courteous, empathetic, and cooperative manner
• Adhere to grooming and presentation standards consistently, maintain clean uniform at all times
• Assist with special events as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Positive impersonal skills are required
• A food handler's card is required
• Basic math skills
• Ability to lift 15 poundsMust be drug free and submit to drug screening upon hire and routinely
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations
