Job summary

CSAT Solutions LP is seeking a Test Engineer Technician 1 to support diagnostic BIOS/software issues, set up test lines, and maintain equipment. The role requires basic troubleshooting skills, Linux familiarity, and the ability to read Bash scripts and logs.

The candidate should have an Associate degree or coursework toward an engineering degree, be able to work in a fast-paced team, and contribute to quality standards such as ISO 9001 compliance.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or coursework toward a B.S. in engineering is preferred.
• 1 year or more experience in a relevant field.
• Basic troubleshooting and diagnostics skills.
• Familiarity with Linux/Ubuntu environment.
• Ability to read Bash scripts and diagnostic logs.
• Email and written messaging with basic Excel knowledge.
• Proficient English abilities required.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methods preferred.
• Ability to follow documented procedures, standards and policies.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and approves or denies diagnostic skip requests.
• Troubleshoots diagnostic BIOS/software configuration issues.
• Troubleshoots test script issues and reports to engineer.
• Downloads drivers and BIOS updates as needed.
• Performs test line maintenance.
• Sets up and/or tears down test lines, including power, network, foam, cables, etc.
• Responsible for meeting ISO 9001 and/or other quality system requirements in their department.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

• Investigates and approves or denies diagnostic skip requests
• Troubleshoots diagnostic BIOS/software configuration issues
• Troubleshoots test script issues and reports to engineer
• Downloads drivers and BIOS updates as needed
• Performs test line maintenance
• Sets up and/or tears down test lines, including but not limited to power, network, foam, cables, etc.

Skills, Education and Training

Working conditions and Essential Abilities & Functions

• Warehouse environment (may not be climate-controlled)
• Use of small hand tools
• Frequent standing, walking and sitting
• Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
