Job summary

CSAT Solutions LP is seeking a Server Repair Engineering Technician for the 2nd shift in Houston, TX. The role focuses on repairing AI server assemblies, circuit boards, and related components, following documented procedures and engineering direction.

Candidates should have an Associate degree in electronics or related field and at least 1 year of relevant experience. Familiarity with Linux/Ubuntu, BIOS/firmware updates, Bash scripts, and server diagnostics is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics, engineering technology or related field preferred.
• 1+ year of electronics repair, manufacturing, or technical support experience.
• Basic troubleshooting and diagnostics with computer hardware or server assemblies.
• Familiarity with server hardware, diagnostic tools, and electronic components.
• Experience with soldering and component replacement preferred.
• Ability to read Bash scripts and identify test issues.
• Familiarity with BIOS configuration and firmware updates.
• Knowledge of Linux/Ubuntu environments.

Responsibilities

• Support engineers in developing, validating, and implementing repair processes for AI server assemblies and components.
• Perform approved repairs using documented procedures and engineering guidance.
• Troubleshoot repair issues in connectors, power circuits, cables and server components.
• Assist with soldering, component replacement and board rework within training requirements.
• Use schematics and drawings to support repair activities and verify test results.
• Run diagnostics and review logs to confirm repair success and resolve failures.
• Verify repairs with post-repair inspection and functional testing.
• Document repair actions and measurements in tracking systems.
• Assist in evaluating repair tools, fixtures, and process improvements.
• Support new product introduction readiness and technician training.

We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of a Process Engineering Technician 1.

Role and Responsibilities

• Supports engineers with developing, validating and implementing repair processes for AI server assemblies, circuit boards and related components.
• Performs approved component and assembly repairs using documented procedures and engineering direction.
• Troubleshoots repair issues involving connectors, power circuits, cables and other server components.
• Assists with soldering, component replacement and board rework within established training and qualification requirements.
• Uses schematics, engineering drawings, work instructions and diagnostic results to support repair activities.
• Understands server test sequences, prerequisites and expected results to support repair verification.
• Runs approved diagnostics and reviews logs, error codes and test results to confirm that repairs resolve the reported failure.
• Troubleshoots basic BIOS, driver, firmware and software configuration issues using documented procedures.
• Reviews basic Bash scripts to identify test execution issues during repair verification and reports unresolved problems to engineers.
• Installs approved drivers and BIOS/firmware updates according to documented procedures.
• Operates basic inspection and measurement equipment, including microscopes, digital multimeters and other approved tools.
• Verifies repair workmanship and performs approved post-repair inspection and functional testing to confirm that repairs resolve the reported failure.
• Documents repair actions, replaced components, measurements and validation results in the appropriate tracking systems.
• Assists engineers with evaluating repair tools, fixtures, materials and process improvements.
• Supports new product introduction readiness, work instruction development and technician training.
• Maintains repair tools and workstations while following ESD, 5S and applicable safety requirements.
• Responsible for meeting ISO 9001 and/or other quality system requirements in their department.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Skills, Education and Training

• Associate degree in electronics, engineering technology or a related field, or equivalent coursework toward a B.S. in engineering or a related field preferred.
• One year or more of relevant experience in electronics repair, manufacturing or technical support.
• Basic troubleshooting and diagnostics experience with computer hardware, server assemblies or electronic components.
• Basic understanding of electronic components, circuits, engineering drawings and schematics.
• Experience with soldering, component replacement and electronic assembly rework preferred.
• Familiarity with server hardware and approved diagnostic tools required.
• Familiarity with Linux/Ubuntu environments required.
• Familiarity with BIOS configuration, driver installation and software configuration required.
• Familiarity with installing approved BIOS and firmware updates according to documented procedures required.
• Ability to read basic Bash scripts and identify potential test execution issues required.
• Familiarity with diagnostic log interpretation, error codes and test results required.
• Familiarity with digital multimeters, microscopes and ESD practices.
• Email and written communication skills with basic Excel knowledge.
• Proficient English abilities required.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methods preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent time-management skills.
• Ability to follow documented procedures, standards and policies.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment with general supervision.
