Job summary

CSAT Solutions LP in Houston, TX is seeking a Test Engineer Technician for the 2nd shift (3:30pm–12:00am) to support diagnostic testing and line maintenance in a warehouse environment. You will troubleshoot BIOS/software configurations, manage test lines, and ensure ISO 9001 quality requirements are met.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree or coursework toward an engineering degree, with at least 1 year in a related field, and comfort with Linux/Ubuntu, Bash scripts, and basic Excel.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in relevant field preferred.
• 1 year or more experience in related field.
• Basic troubleshooting and diagnostics skills.
• Familiar with Linux/Ubuntu environment.
• Ability to read Bash scripts and diagnostic logs.
• Email and written messaging with basic Excel knowledge.
• Proficient English abilities required.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methods preferred.
• Ability to follow documented procedures, standards and policies.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment with general supervision.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and approves or denies diagnostic skip requests.
• Troubleshoots diagnostic BIOS/software configuration issues.
• Troubleshoots test script issues and reports to engineer.
• Downloads drivers and BIOS updates as needed.
• Performs test line maintenance.
• Sets up and/or tears down test lines, including but not limited to power, network, foam, cables, etc.
• Responsible for meeting ISO 9001 and/or other quality system requirements in their department.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
