Job summary

Kaizen Lab Inc. in Nashville, TN seeks a Server Assistant to support servers in our fast-paced live entertainment venue. You will assist with beverage and food service, maintain cleanliness, and help ensure a positive guest experience.

The role is a tipped position with a standard hourly pay rate of $12.00 per hour. The combined hourly wage including tips ranges from $30 to $35 per hour, reflecting tip-out averages for current Server Assistants.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Adhere to and enforce company, local, state, and government specific regulations.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required for this position.
• Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
• Work may be performed in indoor and/or outdoor areas; withstand temperature variations.

Responsibilities

• Assist restaurant servers in tasks necessary to maintain their tables and assist guests throughout the visit.
• Provide friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and helpful service of food and beverage in accordance with established standards.
• Have complete knowledge of the food and bar menus and procedures.
• Prepare restaurant tables with sanitation and setup attention.
• Ensure tabletops and chairs are sanitized and areas are clean.
• Read and understand food or beverage orders.
• Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards and complete before serving.
• Announce the name of food and beverages delivered to guests.
• Carry dishes from bars and tables to kitchen areas.
• Maintain a good rapport with FOH & BOH teams.
• Inform management of complaints or incidents.
• Communicate effectively with guests and team members in writing and verbally.
• Respond to guest inquiries in a courteous and knowledgeable manner.
• Maintain service station and equipment storage tidy.
• Complete daily/nightly/weekly and opening/closing duties.
• Clean spills, sweep and mop as needed, and dispose of waste properly.
• Observe and anticipate guest needs; adhere to appearance and uniform standards.
• Follow company policies and procedures; perform other duties as assigned.
