Job summary

Desert Mountain Club in North Scottsdale, AZ, is seeking a Server for the 2026-2027 season to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a high-end club setting.

The role requires prior full-service restaurant serving experience, with the potential for merit-based pay increases and opportunities for career progression within a renowned private club.

Qualifications

• Prior serving experience in a full-service restaurant is required.
• Prior high-end club or resort experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Present menus, suggest dishes utilizing suggestive selling techniques and assist in beverage selection and service.
• Communicate customer preferences, dietary restrictions, and modifications to the culinary team.
• Maintain knowledge of all food and beverage menu items including cocktails, beer, and wine.
• Deliver a high-level dining experience with a family-feel service mindset.
• Use name recognition and personalized service to cultivate eager, loyal guests.
• Follow the three steps of service: warm welcome, friendly service, fond farewell.
• Answer questions about events and direct feedback to the appropriate manager.
• Keep service areas clean and maintain professional appearance of all clubhouse facilities.
• Proactively assist team members and other servers as needed.

Join the Food & Beverage team at Desert Mountain Club, one of the largest and most beautiful private country clubs in North America, as a Server!

Season: October 2026 – May 2027

Desert Mountain Club offers a higher, flat-dollar wage structure for all hourly Food & Beverage positions, replacing the previous gratuity-based wage structure. Servers start at $23 per hour or more, depending on experience. This guaranteed year-round wage is based on hours worked and does not fluctuate based on business levels or seasonality. Team members also have opportunities to increase their pay and advance their careers through annual merit increases and our career ladder, with multiple levels within each position based on performance, skills, and knowledge (e.g., Server 1, Server 2, etc.).

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a memorable guest experience by providing exceptional service and curating the dining experience. This includes maintaining a strong knowledge and understanding of menu items and pairings and tailoring the food and beverage experience to their tastes, executing service from greeting the table to providing the check, all in a team setting.

The ideal candidate will be a team player with a great attitude and strong work ethic. Prior serving experience in a full-service restaurant is required. Prior high-end club or resort experience preferred.

JOB DETAILS

Responsibilities:

• Present menus, suggest dishes utilizing suggestive selling techniques, and assist in beverage selection and service.
• Communicate specific customer preferences, dietary restrictions, and modifications to the culinary team.
• Maintain knowledge of all food and beverage menu items to include cocktails, beer, and wine.
• Maintain a high-level dining experience with the mindset that we’re a family serving family.
• Utilize name recognition and personalized service in order to maintain raving fans.
• Practice three steps of service – warm welcome, friendly service, and fond farewell.
• Communicate and answer questions regarding restaurant and club events, mountain wide in a professional and courteous manner. Direct feedback, questions, and comments to appropriate manager or department.
• Maintain clean service areas, professional appearance of all clubhouse facilities.
• Proactively assist other team members and fellow servers, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Required to be on feet for long periods of time.
• Required to work, days, nights, weekends and holidays.
