Job summary

Resorts World OMNI LLC in Miami is seeking a Room Service Server to deliver and serve meals and beverages to guest rooms with prompt, friendly service and precision.

The role involves setting up trays, taking orders, delivering to rooms, presenting checks, collecting payments, and complying with hotel standards and safety regulations. A high school diploma and hospitality experience are preferred; knowledge of hotel POS/PMS systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• At least one year of previous serving experience; hospitality experience preferred.
• Knowledge of hotel property management/point of service systems (PMS/POS).

Responsibilities

• Set up room service trays and tables for orders.
• Retrieve checks, set tables per specifications, retrieve orders from kitchen/bar and deliver to guest rooms.
• Serve meals to guests, collect trays and respond to guest requests promptly.
• Present checks to guests and obtain payment.
• Return payments or signed checks to the order taker.
• Serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with regulations.
• Perform order taking and answer room service telephone as needed.
• Attend required meetings and perform other duties as requested.

Job description

The Room Service Server is responsible for delivering and serving food and beverage items to guests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set-up room service trays and tables to prepare for incoming orders.
• Retrieve checks, set tables according to specifications, retrieve food and beverage orders from the kitchen and bar and deliver food to guest rooms.
• Serve meals to guests, collect guest trays and respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
• Present checks to guests and obtains payment
• Return payments/.signed checks to order taker
• Serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with feeral, state, local and company regulations
• Perform order taker duties and answer room service telephone, as needed
• Perform other duties as requested
• Attend require meetings.

WORK EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred
• At least one (1) year previous serving experience. Prior hospitality experience preferred.
