Job summary

The Laylow Waikiki, a member of the Autograph Collection, seeks a friendly server to join our hospitality team in Honolulu. You will warmly welcome guests, record orders, and guide them through our food and beverage options with allergen awareness and thoughtful recommendations, while embracing the mid-century charm of our hotel.

This role emphasizes creating memorable guest experiences, staying organized, coordinating with the kitchen, and carrying trays with care.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or food & beverage preferred.
• Ability to handle allergens and special requests with care.
• Strong communication and guest relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Record guests' orders accurately and promptly.
• Provide menu recommendations with knowledge of options and allergens.
• Understand kitchen timing and stay organized to deliver timely service.
• Build meaningful relationships with guests to enhance their experience.
• Maintain good organization and assist with duties as needed.
• Carry food and beverage trays safely and confidently.

Requested Tasks

• Record guests' orders; have a keen eye for detail for allergens, special requests and noted information
• Through understanding and knowledge of food and beverage menu options; able to adeptly make recommendations to guests
• Understanding of Kitchen timing; ability to stay organized and deliver food and beverages in a timely manner
• Ability to create meaningful relationships with guests
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to carry food and drink trays
