Job summary

Oak View Group's Paramount Baltimore is seeking a personable server to welcome guests, take food and beverage orders, deliver meals accurately, and maintain a clean, inviting service area to ensure a positive guest experience from arrival through departure. This part-time role pays $10.00 per hour and is tip eligible.

Responsibilities include explaining menu items, processing payments, following safety policies, and supporting events during evenings and weekends at a premier venue in downtown

Qualifications

• Previous serving, restaurant, or hospitality experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and remain calm under pressure.
• Basic math skills and comfort using a POS system.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy.
• Must meet Maryland's legal requirements for alcohol service when applicable.

• Explain menu items, beverage selections, specials, and available options.
• Accurately take and enter orders into the POS system.
• Deliver food and beverages efficiently while ensuring order accuracy.
• Monitor guests’ needs and provide timely refills, follow-ups, and assistance.
• Coordinate with bartenders, kitchen staff, runners, and management to ensure smooth service.
• Process guest payments accurately and follow cash-handling procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized tables, service stations, and guest areas.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service policies.
• Verify identification and follow Maryland alcohol service requirements when serving alcoholic beverages.
• Assist with opening, closing, side work, and event setup as assigned.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and notify management when additional assistance is needed.
• Support special events and high-volume service periods while maintaining service standards.

Position Summary

The Server is responsible for welcoming guests, taking food and beverage orders, delivering orders accurately and efficiently, processing payments, and maintaining a clean and inviting service area. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, and committed to creating a positive guest experience from arrival through departure.

This role pays an hourly rate of $10.00 and is tip eligible.

About The Venue

The Paramount Baltimore is a new entertainment venue located in Baltimore, Maryland, near M&T Bank Stadium and Camden Yards. The venue will host concerts, comedy shows, private events, and live performances, with a capacity of approximately 3,950 guests. The Paramount Baltimore will bring entertainment, dining, and event experiences to the city’s growing entertainment district.
