Big Cedar Lodge in Ridgedale, MO is seeking a dependable Server to provide courteous and efficient service at an assigned station, delivering an exceptional dining experience.

You will learn menus, communicate offerings, use suggestive selling, manage orders, and ensure accurate guest checks. Prior guest service experience preferred; high school diploma preferred; full-time position with comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, efficient service in assigned station.

• Take and input food/beverage orders; monitor order status.
• Process guest checks and handle payments accurately; perform tip declarations as required.
• Assist with daily cleaning and station setup/breakdown.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Server has the responsibility to serve guests in an assigned station by providing courteous and efficient service that meets or exceeds guest’s dining expectations.

The Server has the responsibility to serve guests in an assigned station by providing courteous and efficient service that meets or exceeds guest’s dining expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Supports a strong commitment to world class guest service and ensures a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience for restaurant patrons.
• Completes training requirements and follows service standards as trained.
• Greets guests promptly and courteously in assigned workstation.
• Understands and executes established procedures for verifying guest’s ability to legally purchase and consume alcohol and knows how to prevent a guest from overindulging.
• Learns all menus and can communicate all food and beverage offerings.
• Effectively uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Records food and beverage orders, enters orders into computer system, monitors status of order preparation and safely transports order from kitchen to guest.
• Monitors and addresses guest needs during meal.
• Collects monies owed for food and beverages and properly performs all guest check accountability procedures.
• Performs tip declaration activities and compensates indirectly tipped associates, i.e., Bussers, Bartenders, Runners, as per established service procedures.
• Performs daily cleaning activities.
• Performs food running and station set-up / break-down responsibilities as assigned.
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma/GED preferred.

• Learn all menus and is able to communicate all food and beverage offerings
• Clean and clear service areas
• Follow proper procedures as disclosed in Standard Operating Procedures as explained to staff

• Occasionally lifts up to 50lbs.

• Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
