Big Cedar Lodge is seeking a Server to deliver courteous, efficient service at an assigned station and help create a memorable dining experience for guests. You will learn menus, work as part of a team, and use the POS system to place orders and process payments.

You will greet guests, take orders, deliver meals, and assist with setup, side duties, and daily cleaning. This role requires adaptability, reliability, and a guest‑focused attitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Experience in and passion for consumer service.
• Willingness to learn new skills and be a team player.
• Attitude of flexibility and mindfulness about the team approach.
• Learn all menus and communicate all food and beverage offerings.
• Clean and clear service areas.
• Follow SOPs and memorize menu items.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and courteously in the assigned workstation.
• Take and record food and beverage orders and enter them into the computer system.
• Monitor order status and safely transport meals from kitchen to guests.
• Use suggestive selling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Handle guest payments and maintain accurate check accountability.
• Perform daily cleaning, setup/breakdown, and station duties.
• Support bussers, bartenders, and runners as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.

The Server has the responsibility to serve guests in an assigned station by providing courteous and efficient service that meets or exceeds guest’s dining expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Supports a strong commitment to world class guest service and ensures a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience for restaurant patrons.
• Completes training requirements and follows service standards as trained.
• Greets guests promptly and courteously in assigned workstation.
• Understands and executes established procedures for verifying guest’s ability to legally purchase and consume alcohol and knows how to prevent a guest from overindulging.
• Learns all menus and can communicate all food and beverage offerings.
• Effectively uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Records food and beverage orders, enters orders into computer system, monitors status of order preparation and safely transports order from kitchen to guest.
• Monitors and addresses guest needs during meal.
• Collects monies owed for food and beverages and properly performs all guest check accountability procedures.
• Performs tip declaration activities and compensates indirectly tipped associates, i.e., Bussers, Bartenders, Runners, as per established service procedures.
• Performs daily cleaning activities.
• Performs food running and station set-up / break-down responsibilities as assigned.
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma/GED preferred.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT

• Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
