Job summary

Centific is seeking a Server Operations Engineer in the United States to install server hardware and operating systems, troubleshoot server and network issues, and maintain asset and ticket records. You will collaborate with partners and vendors, handle on-call duties, and continuously improve tooling and automation to support data center operations.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in CS/EE, strong problem-solving, and excellent English communication; Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer science, Electrical engineering or related field.
• Strong ability to work under pressure; learning ability and responsibility.
• Good English communication; Mandarin preferred; team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Install OS for new servers and mounted hardware.
• Reinstall server OS and troubleshoot abnormalities.
• Perform daily server maintenance and break-fix.
• Maintain asset records and tickets in internal systems.
• Collaborate with remote vendors/teams to solve batch failures.
• On-call duty to address business-owner raised issues.
• Script updates or tooling improvements; RMA and media destruction when needed.
• Server lifecycle management including OxMs performance.
• Document server configurations and troubleshooting steps.
