Recess Hotel & Club Savannah, opening Fall 2026, seeks enthusiastic, hospitality-driven Servers for Kilter Rooftop. You will provide warm, attentive service to hotel guests and club members, showcasing knowledge of the menu and beverages, and guiding guests through selections.

The role emphasizes personalized service, strong communication, and a team-focused environment to create memorable rooftop experiences in a lively setting.

Qualifications

• Previous serving experience in upscale settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, attentive service to hotel guests and club members during dining experiences.
• Develop knowledge of Kilter’s menu, beverages, and seasonal offerings.
• Guide guests through menu selections and make recommendations.
• Enter orders accurately and process transactions using the POS system.
• Deliver food and beverages according to service standards.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to requests promptly.
• Collaborate with bartenders, runners, culinary team, and leadership for seamless service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned sections and service areas.
• Assist with rooftop events and member programming as needed.
• Maintain compliance with food safety and alcohol service regulations.

About the role

Kilter Rooftop at Recess Hotel & Club is seeking enthusiastic, hospitality-driven Servers to join our team. Designed exclusively for hotel guests and club members, Kilter offers elevated dining, craft cocktails, and memorable experiences in a lively rooftop setting. As a Server, you will play a key role in creating exceptional experiences through attentive service, genuine guest engagement, and a strong understanding of our food and beverage offerings.

This individual is knowledgeable, attentive, and committed to creating memorable experiences while contributing to the energetic atmosphere that defines Kilter.

What you’ll do

• Provide warm, attentive, and personalized service to hotel guests and club members throughout their dining experience
• Develop a thorough knowledge of Kilter's food menu, beverage program, seasonal offerings, and special features
• Guide guests through menu selections and make thoughtful recommendations based on individual preferences
• Accurately enter orders and process transactions using the point-of-sale system
• Deliver food and beverages in accordance with established service standards
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout service, anticipating needs and responding promptly to requests
• Collaborate with bartenders, food runners, culinary team members, and leadership to ensure seamless service execution
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned sections and service areas
• Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned
• Assist with rooftop events, member programming, and special activations as needed
• Build relationships with returning guests and club members through genuine hospitality and personalized service
• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations
• Support a positive and professional team environment while contributing to operational excellence

Qualifications

• Previous serving experience required; upscale restaurant, hotel, club, or hospitality experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards
• Wine, beer, and cocktail knowledge preferred
• Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Experience with point-of-sale systems and cash handling procedures preferred
• Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods
• Ability to carry trays and safely transport food and beverages throughout service
• Ability to work comfortably in an outdoor environment and varying weather conditions
• Professional presentation and grooming standards
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as business needs require
