Job summary

Ponte Vedra Inn & Club is seeking a friendly Dining Room staff member to join our team in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. The role requires flexibility to work weekends and holidays, maintain a neat uniform, and proactively guide guests through their dining experience.

The position involves table setup, greeting guests, assisting with checks, and coordinating with the Dining Room Captain/Manager. A commitment to safety and clean work areas is essential, with benefits provided by the employer.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include weekends, holidays and split shifts.
• Arrive to work on time, consistently.
• Upon entering the property, arrive in proper uniform, crisp, clean and in good repair.
• Hair must be clean and cut in a becoming style; management has final approval.
• Attend all required training, safety courses; attend office and departmental meetings.
• Report any safety hazards, follow up that hazard has been corrected, and assist with providing a safe work environment.
• Make sure all sidework is complete before opening.
• Set up tables, glasses and silver should be clean and lined up properly; salt and pepper shakers and sugar holders full and clean; chairs, including legs and table bases are clean; flowers are appealing and fresh; table cloth is clean, crisp and hanging properly.
• Attend pre-shift meeting to learn daily specials and miscellaneous information.
• Greet guests and their guests immediately and with a smile.
• Guide guests through the course of their dining experience, communicating frequently.
• Ring members checks accurately and on a timely manner.
• Communicate with the Captain or Dining Room Manager as to closing time.
• Clean station and sidework as required.
• Close and check all guest checks at the end of shift.
• Turn in check-out to Captain or Dining Room Manager.
• Perform and follow up on all other duties assigned by Captain, Dining Room Manager or Room Service Supervisor.
