Job summary

Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino is seeking a Part-Time In-Room Dining Server to take guest orders and deliver food and beverages to guest rooms with care and professionalism.

This role suits someone who enjoys guest interaction, can work independently in a fast-paced hospitality environment, and is flexible for evenings, weekends and holidays. A $500 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old (serving alcohol may be involved).
• Desire to satisfy guests in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous restaurant, hotel, or room service experience preferred.
• Ability to take accurate orders and communicate with guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Answer in-room dining calls and accurately record guest orders.
• Communicate menu options, specials, preparation times, and charges.
• Enter orders accurately into the POS system.
• Coordinate with kitchen/other departments to ensure on-time prep.
• Set up trays, carts, and service items per standards.
• Deliver food and beverages to guest rooms promptly and professionally.
• Confirm guest satisfaction and provide attentive service on delivery.
• Process payments and maintain cash-handling procedures as required.
• Retrieve trays/carts from rooms and service areas.
• Keep in-room dining areas clean, stocked, and organized.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, and hospitality procedures.

Summary

Our In-Room Dining team is dedicated to providing guests with convenient, personalized, and thoughtful service throughout their stay. As a Part-Time In-Room Dining Server, you will be responsible for accurately taking guest orders and delivering food and beverages directly to guest rooms in a timely and professional manner.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy guest interaction, take pride in attentive service, and can work independently in a fast-paced hospitality environment. You will help ensure that every in-room dining experience is seamless, welcoming, and consistent with our service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer in-room dining calls and accurately record guest food and beverage orders.
• Clearly communicate menu options, specials, preparation times, and applicable charges.
• Enter orders accurately into the point-of-sale system.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and other departments to ensure orders are prepared correctly and on time.
• Set up trays, carts, and service items according to established standards.
• Deliver food and beverages to guest rooms promptly and professionally.
• Confirm guest satisfaction and provide attentive service upon delivery.
• Process payments and maintain accurate cash-handling procedures, as required.
• Retrieve trays and carts from guest rooms and designated service areas.
• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked in-room dining areas.
• Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and hospitality procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age, as the role may involve serving alcoholic beverages.
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous restaurant, hotel, room service, or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to take accurate orders and communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to safely carry trays and carts.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, required.
