Job summary

Violi Oak Brook by DineAmic Hospitality seeks an energetic server to provide hospitality-driven service in a fast-paced full-service environment. You will deliver knowledgeable menu guidance, handle orders in the POS, and work with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth course delivery.

Applicants should have 2+ years of serving experience, knowledge of allergens, and be able to obtain or hold an alcohol/service certification.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years serving experience in a full-service restaurant (high-volume preferred).
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service fundamentals.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol (state law).
• Valid alcohol service certification and food service certification (or ability to obtain within required timeframe).

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, knowledgeable, and personalized service from greeting to farewell.
• Demonstrate knowledge of menu items, including allergens, and guide guest selections.
• Enter orders into the POS system with proper pacing and timing.
• Monitor table progress and proactively address guest needs.
• Collaborate with support staff, kitchen, and bar teams for seamless service.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly with accuracy and presentation standards.
• Encourage guests to join the restaurant’s rewards program and guest initiatives.
• Process guest payments accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized dining section throughout service.
• Complete opening, running, and closing side work as assigned.
• Uphold responsible alcohol service standards and compliance.
• Address guest concerns professionally and escalate when needed.
• Follow all company policies, sanitation guidelines, and food safety standards.
• Contribute to team morale and support colleagues during high-volume periods.
• Review BEOs for private dining or special events and execute event service per timelines.
