Job summary

Violi Oak Brook by DineAmic Hospitality is hiring Server Assistants to support our fast-paced, full-service Greek dining room. You will work alongside servers, hosts, bartenders and managers to ensure smooth service and polished hospitality.

You will maintain clean dining areas, reset tables quickly, assist with beverage service, and uphold sanitation standards. Availability for evenings, weekends, and peak periods is required in this high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant environment.
• Food Handler Certification or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.
• Experience maintaining sanitation and cleanliness standards in accordance with local health department guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Clear and reset tables quickly and accurately according to company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room, service stations, and guest areas.
• Refill water glasses and assist with beverage service as needed.
• Monitor dining room cleanliness, including floors, chairs, and high-touch surfaces.
• Transport dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils to designated dish areas.
• Communicate effectively with servers, hosts, kitchen staff, and management to support service flow.
• Complete opening, running, and closing side work as assigned.
• Follow all company policies, sanitation guidelines, and food safety standards.

Server Assistants support exceptional guest experiences in our fast-paced, high-volume, full-service restaurant environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, urgency, and a commitment to teamwork. Server Assistants maintain a clean, organized, and service-ready dining room while assisting the front-of-house team to ensure smooth table turnover and consistent hospitality standards.

Successful candidates anticipate the needs of guests and team members, take initiative to stay productively engaged throughout service, and help maintain clean, stocked, and welcoming guest areas. Server Assistants work alongside servers, hosts, bartenders, and managers to support efficient service flow and contribute to a polished dining experience.

• Clear and reset tables quickly and accurately according to company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room, service stations, and guest areas.
• Refill water glasses and assist with beverage service as needed.
• Monitor dining room cleanliness, including floors, chairs, and high-touch surfaces.
• Maintain stocked and organized service stations (napkins, flatware, glassware, condiments).
• Transport dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils safely and efficiently to designated dish areas.
• Dispose of trash and recycling promptly and maintain clean trash receptacles.
• Assist servers and support staff in maintaining smooth dining room operations during service.
• Communicate effectively with servers, hosts, kitchen staff, and management to support service flow.
• Complete opening, running, and closing side work as assigned.
• Follow all company policies, sanitation guidelines, and food safety standards.
• Contribute positively to team morale and support fellow team members during high-volume periods.
• Maintain a professional appearance and uphold company hospitality standards.
• Additional duties as needed within the scope of the role.

Minimum Qualifications

• Previous experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant environment.
• Food Handler Certification or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
• Familiarity with restaurant service standards and dining room procedures.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.
• Experience maintaining sanitation and cleanliness standards in accordance with local health department guidelines.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8+ hours per shift).
• Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 40 pounds (bus tubs, dish racks, highchairs).
• Frequent movement in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and twist throughout shift.
• Must be able to move safely through kitchen and dining area, including slick floors and tight spaces.
