Job summary

Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group in Morrisville, NC seeks a Hardware Development Engineer to join the ThinkSystem Server Development team. You will work on complex server designs, apply x86 hardware expertise, and collaborate with global partners to deliver innovative datacenter solutions.

The role demands hands-on experience with EDA tools, FPGA development, DC power design, PCIe signaling, and strong communication skills to engage with cross-functional teams and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years of in-depth experience in x86 architecture and hardware design.
• 5+ years of experience in EDA schematic design tools for PCB schematic creation, supporting physical design activity and then define/perform low level hardware validation.
• Experience in FPGA code development and validation, DC Power circuit design, and/or PCIe bus design, simulation, and validation.
• Ability to triage and resolve complex hardware issues, working seamlessly with other engineers on problem investigation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for a variety of tasks, potentially including customer engagements, architecture design/feedback, and executive updates.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in both a team environment and self-directed; passionate about learning new technologies and skills.
