Lenovo is looking for a Hardware Development Engineer in Morrisville, NC. You’ll join the ThinkSystem Server Development team to design innovative, high‑performance server hardware addressing customer and production needs.

The role requires collaboration with global teams, expertise in FPGA, PCIe, and EDA tools, and diligent problem-solving to deliver robust hardware solutions. A strong foundation in hardware design and communication is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in x86 architecture and hardware design.
  • 5+ year of experience in EDA schematic design tools for PCB schematic creation.
  • Experience in FPGA development and validation, DC power circuit design, and/or PCIe design and validation.
  • Ability to triage and resolve complex hardware issues with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative and complex server designs to meet customer and business needs.
  • Solve client challenges through custom hardware development and collaboration with partners.
  • Work with a multi-geography engineering team to deliver production-ready hardware.
